Since Friday my phone just stopped connecting to Wi-Fi networks. When it tries to connect it says "Network access denied". Mobile data and everything else work fine. I can technically connect if I literally put the phone on top of my router but even then it is unusable. Take two steps away from it and the connection drops.

My P8 Lite worked for multiple months and I could use my WiFi in different rooms of my house. My other devices like my Notebook still connect without any trouble. And yes I still tried multiple suggested fixes for my router. In addition I experience this problem with other WiFi connections too.

In case someone else has the same problem: Wiping the cache partition a second time solved the problem. After rebooting, wifi was enabled. Hopefully, CyanogenMod or some other alternative ROM will be available in the coming months so I can move away from the stock Android + EMUI provided by Huawei.
